Many revelers in Nairobi don’t even know what mchele means, they have only heard ‘ Kuwekewa Mchele’ which means your drink getting spiked. Spiking and how it’s done

Spiking involves intake of huge amount of alcoholic beverage that may either intoxicated with other chemicals or just normal alcohol in large amounts. I have heard stories of people spiked with changaa’ added to their beer(funny but true!). Don’t just think spiking only involves
mchele tu! Usually the chemical or drug is introduced to the beer of the victim and they get intoxicated as they drink more and more of the spiked drink. In most cases its either young women being preyed by men or wealthy men being prey by whores the second one is the most common in Nairobi clubs. When you drink a spiked drink the effects may last for 12 hours and worse you may die depending on the amount of the drug you have taken.

Drugs used for Spiking Drinks 

The following are the drugs used in spiking cases, most of them are used in Hospital Theater for surgery and they are commonly called premedication drugs or anesthesia drugs. Some like valium are indicated in cases of depression and may be available in chemist with a prescription. Its only takes one rogue health worker and the criminals get access to these serious drugs.
